It really doesn't get any girlier than this. This sweet little number, aka Cutie Pie, popped out of the highly sought-after Ciate Advent Calendar. It's the perfect pastel pink, sheer with one coat and opaque with two, and it made a refreshing change from the regular opulent dark tones that adorn many a nail during the winter months.
Not one to keep it too simple when it comes to my paint jobs, I decided to layer up with Essie's Lux Effects in Shine of the Times, which was part of 2011's holiday collection. This polish is a multidimensional glitter topcoat, made up of small opalescent flakes that shine red, blue, orange and yellow depending on the light. Very pretty on it's own, but even better on top.
The effect of the glitter on the pale pink was quite subtle, but sometimes subtlety is underrated.
