All White on the Night
...with a splash of pink! More birthday celebrations = an excuse to get dressed up :-) Please excuse the hair across my face, it decided to get especially windy at the precise moment I wanted my pictures taken. Typical, ey!
Introducing Alexa... I have been dreaming of an Alexa since I could walk (okay maybe not thaaat long) and now I finally have one! I've been waiting a few seasons for the perfect colour, as I didn't want the typical tan, and as soon as I saw this blush pink, I knew it was meant to be. I especially love the rose gold metal details. It's my perfect summer bag, and it takes pride of place on my arm :-)

Neon Glow
Grab your sunnies because this one's a shocker...
I've been on the quest for a fluorescent yellow polish, and have searched the shelves of drug stores and eBay alike, only to come up empty handed. Nothing has been quite as bright as what I had in mind. And then I met this beauty, waiting for me in Sephora, and it was love at first sight. It's bright, it's bold and it is seriously intense!
My only qualm with this polish is the application. It's a little bit too runny, the brush is a little bit too long and it goes on a little bit too streaky. But, I can ignore all of that because the colour pay-off is AMAZING! Three coats gave me as good an opaque finish as I was going to get. It looks even better against tanned skin, and gives a not-so-subtle nod to the neon trend that is all over the high street at the moment.
I think I am a little bit obsessed with this hue at the moment. I can't remember the last time I was so taken with a polish colour, there are so many similar tones across the various brands, and this is definitely not something you see everyday. I don't like to wear a colour for too long or too soon afterwards, but I might just have to bend the rules for this one...
Rare is £13.50 from Illamasqua, and you can get yours here.

Friday was the day of my birth, so naturally I went out to celebrate with my nearest and dearest. I went for dinner at a lovely Thai restaurant, my cuisine of choice, and then onto a bar. As it was my birthday, I decided to go all out on the sparkles. Who doesn't want to be shiny on their birthday?!

Fifties Glamour
Not one to be left out, I've recently started watching Mad Men. Two weeks later and four seasons in, I can honestly say that I have developed a little style crush on Betty Draper, aka January Jones. The hair, the clothes, the flawless make-up, you name it I want it!
Feeling inspired, I decided to wear this H&M midi circle skirt which has been hanging on my rail for about a year and has never been worn. I paired it with this cream sleeveless blouse to keep it fresh and work friendly. Might as well take advantage of the good weather when it comes!
To add some colour I wore my new Nine West sandals, which I picked up in the Vegas outlet for a bargain $30!
Do you watch Mad Men? What is inspiring you at the moment?
