Bioderma Crealine H2O Micelle Solution is a make-up remover. What is a micelle solution, I hear you ask. Well, a micelle is a tiny oil molecule that is suspended in soft water. Instead of spreading your make-up around your face like most make-up removers do, the micelle molecules absorb dirt and make-up. This one in particular has taken the blogging world by storm, and is loved by make-up artists and models alike.
Contrary to reports on how amazing this make-up remover is, I really don't get it. Blasphemy, you may say, but I did just say that. For a start, it's only recently become available in the UK, (you can get it in Harvey Nicks), but before this one had to trawl ebay for the best price and the lowest shipping. Yes, I did that. Yes, I know you do it too. I wanted to see what the fuss was all about, and so I had great expectations.
After all the hype this product receives, I expected it to at least remove all my make up. I had to go through a few cotton pads to make sure all my mascara was off, and even then I would still find some on my towel after my shower or when I followed with my cleanser. And I'm not talking waterproof mascara, I mean the regular stuff. If it can't do the job properly, it's gotta go.
Micelle waters are supposed to be soft and gentle on your skin, but I found that using this product on a daily basis did quite the opposite, and dried my face out. Now I'm not saying I don't get the odd dry patch, because then I would be telling fibs, but I have never had skin as dry as what I was getting. So I put an abrupt stop to that, and moved onto This Works Clean Skin 5-in-1 Water, which I am enjoying very much. But more on that later.
What do you think of Bioderma? Is it a Holy Grail product for you, or like me, do you think it's overrated?
